Prepared for Snow

Snow Update
An amber snow warning has been issued for our area tomorrow.
Our team will assess the school site from 6:00am. As staff and pupils travel from across the region, safety is always our top priority. We will make a decision by 7:00am on whether the school can open safely.

Any updates will be shared through the following channels:
•     School Website: https://donningtonwood.com/wholeschoolnews/
•     Telford & Wrekin Snow/Closure Line: https://schoolclosures.telford.gov.uk/
•     ParentPay / Arbor emails

We understand how disruptive these decisions can be, and we never take them lightly. Our aim is always to keep everyone safe.

Friday

Dear parents/carers,
Curl up with a good book day
On Friday 9th January we will be holding our annual ‘Curl up with a good book day’ in school. We will be focusing on the joy of reading and how reading can help with children’s wellbeing.
This will be a whole school mufti day. The children can wear:
· Pyjamas or night clothes/dressing gowns
· Comfy clothing such as tracksuits
· Anything they feel relaxed in!
· Please make sure children have appropriate shoes on for playtime
The day will include a range of reading and mindfulness activities.
Reading makes such a difference to every child in our school. Reading is a pathway to new adventures, to new places and a world of escapism! We are so grateful to you for all your continued efforts to help support your child with their reading at home – it makes such a difference.
Many thanks,
Miss A. O’Shea
