BSAT Coffee Morning and Evenings

Email for parents/carers

Dear parents/carers,

The Behaviour Support Advisory Team (BSAT) are hosting coffee mornings and evenings half termly at The Linden Centre, Primary Specialist, Overdale, and we would be thrilled if you could join us!

Our aim is to support families whose children may be experiencing behaviour issues at school as quickly and effectively as possible.

The team will be able to discuss behaviour issues, offering advice and guidance, explain certain procedures, such as suspensions or modified timetables, so that parents/carers are able to support their young people in the best way possible. The team will also be able to signpost Telford & Wrekin services available to you, to help ensure our families are able to access the best and most appropriate support.

As a team, we would also like to gather your opinions or ideas on how BSAT can further support students in school.

We look forward to meeting you soon.

Many thanks,

Kind Regards

Becky

ACTION REQUIRED: Please share with the Head Teacher correspondence from the Children’s Commissioner for England

By now, I hope that you have seen my national campaign The Big Ambition. Please ensure you have shared this survey with the children and parents within your school community.

Children or parents can complete the survey here: www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/thebigambition. Further resources are available on our website.

It is really important that the pupils at Donnington Wood CofE Voluntary Controlled Junior School have participated in The Big Ambition survey and had their say.

I want to ensure that the voices of all children in Telford and Wrekin are fairly represented in the findings so that I can share their views with the most senior members of the country.

I must reiterate that it is vital that all children have their voice heard through this survey because, as Children’s Commissioner for England, I have a statutory duty to protect and promote the views and interests of children. The Big Ambition provides a much-needed opportunity for the children of England to tell political decision makers what is important to them ahead of the General Election. I will be sharing their responses with Government to ensure that children’s voices are heard.

Yours sincerely,

Dame Rachel De Souza
