I joined the board of Governor in June 2018 as I had an interest in ensuring the best outcomes for the pupils attending Donnington Wood Junior School. I sit on the ‘Self Evaluation and Development’ Committee.

As a parent governor I have a responsibility to represent the families of the school during the meeting so that their thoughts and wishes are included during discussions.

I have a wide range of experiences, giving me a broad range of skills that I will bring to this role; making a positive contribution to the school. If you have anything you would like to share, ask in the office or when you see me at school.

Temporary Road Closure – Wrekin Drive, Donnington – southbound traffic only

Dear All,

Please find attached information that outlines the traffic management arrangements for a temporary road closure along Wrekin Drive, Donnington – southbound traffic only.

Western Power Distribution are planning to undertake cable diversion works. The work is set to commence on Monday 29th October 2018and will last for a duration of 12 dayswith an end date of Friday 9th November 2018.

The diversion route for vehicular traffic travelling southbound will be signed on site.

Our Macmillan Coffee afternoon

On Friday 28th September we threw open our doors for an Open Afternoon for all of our parents, carers and families. Once everyone had toured the classrooms and viewed the children’s work they could enjoy cake and refreshments in the hall to raise money for Macmillan Nurses. We were delighted contributions raised nearly £400. Thank you everyone who contributed and bought cakes. We were also very proud to welcome Councillor Raj Mehta, the new mayor for Telford and Wrekin. He was very interested in the hard work of our pupils and staff as he toured the school.

Temporary Road Closure – West Avenue, Donnington

Dear All,

Please find attached information that outlines the traffic management arrangements for a temporary road closure along West Avenue, Donnington.

Amey on behalf of Severn Trent Water are planning to undertake new sewer installation works. The work is set to commence on Monday 8th October 2018and will last for a duration of 54 dayswith an end date of Friday 30th November 2018.

The diversion route for vehicular traffic travelling in all directions will be as per below.
