Week 1 Dates Holiday Dates with PD Days
For the first week this term I just want to share dates with you
Our value is Perseverance- and learning about how we can overcome problems together.
Wednesday 11th January – Fire Service visiting Year 3.
Friday 20th January – Tea and Talk- cooking on a budget 2- 2:45
Friday 3rd February – Start of Mental Health Week and Mufti Reading day- reding is good for mental health and we will be wearing our comfortable Muftis and reading. (Also, Numbers day.)
Friday 10th February – Year 5O visit to Newport High Girls School.
Friday 17th February: Half Term break up (we are at school normal times on the Friday).
Monday 27th February: Return to school
Monday 27thFebruary: Year 5B visit to Newport Girls High School
Friday 3rd March – World Book Day
Wednesday 8th March – International Women’s Day activities
Friday 17th March – Comic Relief Mufti
Thursday 23rd March Parents Evening Late, 3pm till 5:50
Friday 24th March: Parents Evening, 1- 4, School closes after lunch at 12:30.
Thursday 30th March: Easter Concert, Year 5 Lead.
Friday 31st March: Easter break up. Normal Time
Monday 17th April: Return to school after Easter.
End of year is Friday 21st July.
We return Tuesday 5th September.

WWFC Christmas Soccer Schools
From Wolves Football Club
We are delivering our Christmas Soccer Schools from our First Team Training complex at Compton Park, which is a first class facility and allows the children to experience what it is like to be a professional footballer for the week!
We will be running 2 Soccer Schools from our training ground over the Christmas period on the following dates:
- Monday 19th to Friday 23rd December 2022
(2 / 3 / 5 day booking options)
- 2 days (Monday & Tuesday) = £50
- 3 days (Wednesday – Friday) = £75
- 5 days (Monday – Friday) = £125
- Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th December 2022
- 3 day booking option only = £75
Winter Water Safety
Given the tragic events at the weekend and the forecasted continued colder weather as we head into the Christmas holidays, we at Shropshire Fire and Rescue would like to highlight the attached resources and websites. This information is designed to be easily communicated to our young children via classroom discussions or school assemblies and we would like to ask that you pass this information onto them this week before the holidays start.
I have attached the winter water safety poster from the Royal Life Saving Society and their winter safety colouring activity sheet. More information can be found at https://www.rlss.org.uk/winter-water-safety
Please stress the importance of keeping off frozen lakes/canals as the ice will not be as thick as it looks and the best way to stay SAFE around water is to Stay Away From the Edge. If they do spot anyone in difficulty in the water then do not enter the water themselves, call 999 and ask for the Fire Service.

SANTA Visit!
Production FINAL
Christmas Concerts
We have now sold out of tickets for the production.
You must bring your ticket on the night.
On Wednesday 7th 3:30 Performance
We will keep all pupils after school on Wednesday, please send a snack/drink if you want to.
Ticket holders must be in the hall by 3:25- no admittance will be allowed after 3:25. Please queue down the road outside the gate. We will open BOTTOM GATE ONLY at 3:10.
Seating is on a first come basis.
Once the performance finishes ticket holders will be able to collect their children from the class doors.
We will then open the gates for other parents/carers to collect from classroom door.
Year 3 and 4 must be collected. Year 5 and 6 can walk home, but you must tell them this. We believe we will finish by 4:30.
ONLY BOTTOM GATE WILL BE OPEN FOR COLLECTION.
On Thursday 1:30 performance
No one will be let in after 1:25. We will BOTTOM GATE ONLY at 1:10.
We believe we will finish at normal time.
Both gates will be open at the end of the day
Filming and photos, there are a number of pupils who are not allowed their photos published, for a variety of reasons. You may take photos and videos, but they should not be put publicly on social media.
