As the Safeguarding Governor, I provide strong support and constructive challenge to ensure safeguarding remains a key priority for the school. I have a good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, maintain regular oversight of policies, training, and practice, and work closely with school leaders to gain assurance that children are safe, supported, and able to thrive.
I bring extensive professional experience in children’s services, which helps me to ask informed questions, understand risk, and provide effective scrutiny. I am committed to ensuring that safeguarding arrangements are robust, statutory requirements are met, and that the voice, welfare, and best interests of children remain at the centre of decision-making. Through regular visits, discussions with leaders, and review of safeguarding information, I help strengthen the school’s safeguarding culture and continuous improvement.
