Spring Letter 15 1 24

Welcome back to our new Spring term and a Happy New Year!

It has been a fantastic start to the term.

This term our core value is perseverance and we will be reflecting on how well we can overcome difficulties with resilience and determination.

Friday was ‘Our Curl up with a good book day’, which helps our children learn about mental health and how reading can help our emotional state .

Rev. Lisa also joined us to sing with every class, which can also boost our mood and help with our mental health.

All infromtation is either sent via Paretn pay or on the website. https://donningtonwood.com/

We will be making soup with children, and sharing it during the week.

SIAMS

This week we had our Staturory Inspection by the Church of England (SIAMS) as we are a Voluntary Controlled (VC) Church School. The full report will be out in a few weeks time, but it went very well. The inspector was very impressed with our children, our clear ethos and the calm atmosphere around school. The pupils have flourished and proudly showed off their progress and development.

Bikeability

Bike safety training continues this term with Year 3 invited to an Introduction to cycling course, Year 4 a level one course and Year 5 and 6 Level 1 and 2 course.

Year 3 History Widget Workshop

Our curriculum begins with History this week and our Year 3 had a great day learning all about life in the Stone Age. Have a look on SeeSaw for photos of the fun prehistoric activities.

Holy Trinity Academy Reading Volunteers
