Pride in Our Community- School Safety Scheme Donnington Wood Junior School

The school council applied and got this to happen! Well done school council.

Improvements in your area- School Safety Scheme Donnington Wood Junior School

We will shortly be working in your area as part of the Council’s ‘Pride in Our Community’ investment programme. Between 2018 and 2022 we are investing over £50m in creating a better borough with improvements to roads, footpaths, street lights, road signs, highways structures and green spaces.

In 2019/20 our aim is to further improve our road network and highway assets and some £12m will be invested during the year, delivering 222 improvement schemes across the borough. These improvements will be achieved in partnership with the Councils new highways contractor Balfour Beatty.

School Safety Scheme

We will shortly be carrying out school safety improvements at Donnington Wood Junior School. The scheme, which is funded through Telford & Wrekin Council’s Pride in Our Community programme, is being delivered in response to issues raised by schools to address concerns around traffic speeds, pedestrian safety and inappropriate parking.

The work will include the installation of School Warning Signs (with flashing Pulsa lights), School Warning Road Markings and the installation of dropped kerbs outside of the school gates. The signing work will take place on Tuesday 10th September and be completed by Friday 13th September 2019 and the school warning road markings will be delivered between the 23rd September and the 4th October 2019.
