Courses

1. Community Learning Team training courses: A list of community courses being delivered by Telford and Wrekin in the Donnington/Wellington area. There are still spaces on all of the short courses available -including the 4 day Preparing to Work in Cleaning or Care programme (which includes Health and Safety, Manual Handling and COSHH certificates all included) which starts this month on Monday 27th Jan.

2. Level 3 Award in education and Training: an introduction to teaching and training starting 20th January 2014

3. Eurosource ‘The Way Forward’: A new programme for 16-24yr olds that supports young people looking for an apprenticeship.

Events and Activities

4. Women-only Pilates: Give your body & mind a good start to the New Year. Every Wednesday during school term-time 11.45am at Castlefarm Community Centre. Only £2

5. Charity Football Tournament organised Ball Sports Community Coaching: There are two charities that this event is raising funds for The Georgia Williams Trust and Project Morocco = New College travel & tourism and French students will be travelling to Morocco next March to help the village of Imlil to rebuild irrigation channels that have been damaged through flooding.

6. Kick It Out 5-a-side Football Tournament: at AFC Telford on Monday 17th of February 9.30am – 3.30pm there are three groups :- Young women’s teams, 10 – 13 year olds and 14- 17 year olds

7. Step up to Theatre: A great opportunity for people aged 18yrs and over to participate in a project that uses all aspects of theatre (backstage, design, production, acting etc,) to help people gain skills that assist with motivation, confidence, self-promotion, team work and employability. 23 & 24th January

8. Holocaust Memorial Day: Monday 27th January at Telford Town Park Visitor Centre

9. Bob the Playbus: Coming to Primmer Road in Donnington and Kenwray drive in Redhill on 27th & 28th January

10. Severn Gorge Countryside Trust: Brochure of organised walks and activities throughout 2014
