The school council presented information to the school about macmillian.
The McMillan society, caring locally, was formed in 1974 to support palliative care for cancer patients, and careers and they support a range of post and services for cancer diagnosis treatment.
One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face.
They provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. Cancer can be treated in different ways depending on what cancer it is, where it is in the body and if it has spread. Knowing more about what the treatments involve can help you be prepared for them and there possible side effects, and plan any questions you may want to ask.
Treatment can be given with the aim of curing cancer, controlling it or relieving symptoms.
