School uniform letter
Dear parents/carers
As we approach Spring half-term, we would like to take this opportunity to remind all families of our school uniform policy.
School Uniform
Our children enjoy the sense of belonging and pride in their school that the wearing of a uniform brings. All children are therefore expected to wear our uniform to school each day.
Please note, as stated in our home/school agreement, that it is your responsibility as parents/carers to make sure that your child is in the correct uniform each day.
The school uniform for our school is:
- Purple school sweatshirt/cardigan with school logo – these are purchased from school. Spare ones may be loaned for a day.
- White shirt or polo shirt
- Black trousers or knee-length black skirt
- Black shoes (trainers should only be worn on PE days)
- Purple & white summer dresses may be worn in the summer term or tailored shorts.
Jewellery
Small stud earrings and a watch (No SMART watches) may be worn as an acceptable part of our school uniform. Other jewellery items, such as necklaces etc. MUST NOT be worn to school for health & safety reasons. Jewellery items are the responsibility of the wearer and the school cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage.
Make-up (including nail varnish), should NOT be worn.
PE Kit may be worn on PE days (Mon Y6; Tues Y5; Wed Y4; Thurs Y3)
- Short-sleeved white t-shirt with school logo (these are available from school)
- School sweatshirt or cardigan should be worn (NOT any other sports tops/hoodies)
- Plain black shorts/ black leggings/black track trousers
- Black or white trainers
For health & safety reasons, children are not permitted to wear JEWELLERY of any sort for PE.
Please remember that all school uniform, including PE Kit must be named.
Should you require assistance or support with providing items of school uniform, please contact the office. We do have some spare items to loan out and we can receive applications for a Winter Clothing Scheme pack if needed.
After half-term, adherence to our uniform policy will be strictly monitored and warnings issued for non-compliance. If there is a reason for your child to be unable to attend in school uniform, please provide a note of explanation to your class teacher.
Thank you for your cooperation and support of our school’s standards.

Squash opportunity
There is one at Wrekin and Lilleshall.
This one is at Shrewsbury, so travelling might/will be an issue, but I want to share.
I’d like to let you know about Squash Stars, a fun new squash initiative from England Squash to help inspire kids aged 5-9 to pick up a racket and start playing squash. Squash Stars is a six-week programme led by one of our DBS-checked leaders and is being delivered at Shropshire Squash Club from 2nd March 2023.
To help spread the word, please could I kindly ask that you send on the below information to your parents/guardians to promote this fantastic new squash programme this week. For more information, please visit www.squashstars.co.uk. The nearest course can be found by entering a postcode.
Please note: All Squash Stars leaders have safeguarding qualifications and enhanced DBS checks in place which have been verified by England Squash, as well as a Welfare Officer in post.
