Holiday Activities and Food funded by the DfE for Telford and Wrekin Families.

Happy Healthy Active Holidays runs holiday clubs during the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays. There are funded spaces available to children in reception through to year 11 who receive benefit-related free school meals.

The Department for Education (HAF Programme) funds each place you book. And so it won’t cost anything to attend. Each club will have a range of fun activities such as sports, cooking, dance, music, arts and crafts, and a nutritious meal each day.

For further information, and to book places, please visit the Happy Healthy Holidays website at: https://hhah.telford.gov.uk

Cavalier Centre

Some of the children attended the Primary School Games Inclusion event at the Cavalier Centre in Much Wenlock last Friday where they were able try some things that they may not have tried before. They were able to ride a mechanical horse, get involved and learn cricket skills, dance, round net and carry out some pony care. They all had a fantastic time.

AUTISM FRIENDLY CINEMA SCREENINGS

At least once a month, ODEON, Cineworld, Vue, Showcase, Picturehouse and Everyman cinemas show popular films in an autism-friendly environment, and independent cinemas can use our free training to host their own.

We hope these screenings will help more people with sensory sensitivity enjoy the cinema and for many, provide a transition into regular screenings.

Anyone who feels they can benefit from the adjustments is welcome and no proof of diagnosis is needed. Your loved ones or support staff are welcome too.
