NSPCC NUMBER DAY

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are delighted to inform you that on Friday, 7th February, we will be celebrating NSPCC Number Day. To mark this special occasion, children are invited to wear non-school uniform with a numerical twist!

We encourage students to wear anything featuring numbers, or even dress up as their Times Tables Rockstar avatar. For those who prefer a subtler approach, clothing related to mathematics, such as a striped top (symbolizing parallel lines), is also welcome.

To support the invaluable work of the NSPCC, we kindly ask for donations, which will be collected on the day.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a fun and educational celebration!

Kind regards,

Mr Fox

In partnership with Shropshire Cricket and Brightstar’s Boxing:

For the last year we having been working in partnership with Shrewsbury College.
Offering a FREE Parental Maths after school course to parents whilst the children enjoy a FREE after school sports club (multi sports and boxing).

Parents have been enjoying a 5 week programme directly after school, while the children are happily occupied with some FREE sports activity.
I have been personally tutoring on this and have enjoyed supporting and getting to know parents along the way.

The feedback from parents has been fantastic – weekly, concentrating on how to support their individual children with maths.
Building confidence and understanding the new learning style and curriculum requirements as their children progress through KS2.
Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions and Decimal Points are our main weekly focus. Although as we progress through the certified course, we look in to strategies to support their children, whether this be -visual aids, online learning tools or ‘back to basics’ pen to paper support.

We aim to offer an open, welcoming environment for parents of all abilities.

We aim for a minimum of 6-12 parents per course.
