Safeguarding Dok Doki App

We have been advised that there is a new APP that is going viral among many (primary and secondary) school age pupils. The APP is called DOKI DOKI (literature club).

The game is advertised as a school dating app and does not require parental checks to download. It is a free APP and although users should be 13+ years children can easily agree to being over the age. Once downloaded, children have ready access to their own account.

The APP begins as a colourful and light-hearted game but takes a sinister turn within an hour of children playing where their online friend starts to talk about depression and eventually commits suicide.

The advice is not to download this app.

Kind regards

Flood Alleviation Scheme – Donnington 2018

Road Closures around the school. The map explains when the road will be shut and where- there will always be access but might change day to day.

I have attached a photo of the work schedule on St Winnifred’s Drive, but I will go through it with you.

  • We will carry out the work in stages to minimise disruption please see approximate programme below:
  • Manhole F at the junction of East Avenue/James Way on will commence construction on 23 July for three days
  • We will then start to lay the new sewer from manhole F to manhole E and the planned duration of this work is from 26 July – 7 August. After the pipe has been laid in each section it will be backfilled and tarmac.
  • Manhole E to manhole D – 10 August to 14 August.
  • Manhole E to manhole C – 17 August to 3 September. This is the section that will pass the junction of Leonards Close, this will be done during the school holidays.
  • Manhole C to manhole B – 6 September to 14 September
  • Manhole B to Manhole A – 19 September – 1 October

The road closure on St Winnifred’s Drive will remain in place while we carry out the connection of the new sewer into the existing network at the junction of East Avenue and this is planned for 1 October – 12 October.

Between 12 October – 19 October we will complete the final reinstatement of St Winnifred’s Drive.

Please note these dates may change depending on other utilities we may find underground.
