Dear Parents,
We fully intend the school to open for every child on Wednesday 2nd September. Please keep checking website nearer the time and via text.
Please read the documents, especially the letter I sent out earlier in the term. This letter contains the details about start times and where to line up.
We will fill the Checklist in on the PD day, and share this with you then.
We have taken many actions and put in place lots of controls, and although we cannot guarantee your child’s safety, we have and always will do our best.
The local authority have approved our risk assessment:
| Pupils | Hand Hygiene | Social Distancing | System of control Prevention | System of control Responsive | Managing Ill Health at School | School Reception/Entrance | Start of Day | End of Day | Office Areas | Classrooms | Corridors | Breaks | Lunch | Welfare Facilities | Cleaning | Communication Staff, pupils, parents, unions/ governors | Higher risk individuals | Pupils | Music Lessons | Physical Activities | Breakfast club/ After school provision | Transport | Educational Visits |
| 227 |
The main control remains NOT sending your child if they have one of the three main symptoms.
We cannot wait to see you on the 2nd.
With Hope, Perseverance and Friendship,
Mr Fox

Year 6 event
Firstly, another big thank you to all of you for your support of the recent crisis. We are very proud of our Year 6s and they will be sorely missed. We wish you all luck!
We are provisionally booking a date of Friday 18th September @4pm- 5 pm for our event on the field, however, the current guidance still states:
H&S advice is that schools are advised not to hold events on school fields for children and families. Because schools will be arranging and hosting the activity, this is classed as a gathering and as it states in the last point, it is against the law to gather in groups larger than 30 people unless defined by law.
The view is that it would be extremely difficult for any school to be able to manage the controls that would need to be in place. Even with the activity on a large school field, toilet facilities and hand washing facilities would need to be available for staff, pupils and parents. Can I therefore please caution against events of this type.
As children will also be in their new secondary bubbles we will have to be mindful of this to.
Also, although we are planning a date, we might not be allowed to host it; Check the school website to see if we are going ahead with it. We will say yes or no the week before (Friday 11th)
Mr Fox
