Transition and stikes
NEXT WEEK
Transition day plans
We are very excited that next week we will be preparing for transition to next year’s new classes. We do this in line with our vision that every child can be given the opportunity to flourish and our core values of inspiring hope, developing perseverance and building friendship. Pupils will meet their staff for next year and spend time in their new classroom.
Monday 3rd July: Your child will arrive at normal time and go to their normal current class. At the end of the day, they will leave from their current class as usual.
We will send a letter home with the new classes for 2023-24 on this Monday. Please note their new teacher and classroom.
Tuesday 4th July: Your child will go directly to their new class. At the end of the day, they will leave via their new class at 2.45pm. If collecting your child, please ensure you know where they will be.
Children should come in school uniform on both days. (Not PE Kit – Year 5 note for Tuesday!)
Strike Days
Wednesday 5th July and Friday 7th July
The NEU have announced two strike days next week. Unfortunately, like on previous occasions, I do not know yet in what capacity we can open the school. Please plan for your child to remain at home on these two days, and I will let you know more details later this week.
If we can open for ‘Vulnerable pupils’ (EHCP/supported pupils) and children of Key workers, you will need to contact the school to plan arrangements. We will our send our plans out later this week.
Thursday 6th July
We will be holding a Science Day on Thursday 6th. Pupils will be in this year’s classes for this day.
