Spring letter

Dear All,

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

As always, we have a busy term ahead of us with lots of exciting activities to challenge your child to reach their full potential.

As with last term we have two school priorities: Reading and Oracy

Every classroom has a new reading corner with a range of new books and resources. These will be added to over the term and we are encouraging pupils to read every night. Reading diaries are checked every Friday and prizes given. In Oracy we are focusing on how we can develop our language to understand and will be completing a project with the University of Wolverhampton.

We will be working with the charity Bedazzle, to further help pupils develop their learning resilience. They will be working with classes and groups, and leading assemblies.

Charlton School has reported the following:

One of our students was walking towards a bus stop in Wrockwardine village this morning, when a golden colour Vauxhall Sapphira pulled in front of him, blocking the student’s path. The driver, possibly Asian, with an accent, opened passenger window slightly and told the boy to get in. The boy ran away and the car drove off.
